Voy a subirme a mi Buick 2017 y conducir.

0:00 in general about the election and I heard from people all over the country. I was talking with Brandon Presley in Mississippi, who ran for governor a few years ago there, and Josh Shapiro in Pennsylvania. I, I just think there is a great sense of relief that democracy is still there, that this wasn't necessarily — and I agree with this — this wasn't solely about Democratic policies and people going for that, that they understood that the cruelty, the chaos, the madness of the Trump administration had simply reached its limit; and, and we had great candidates out there and, if you listen to them, the vast majority of them talk about lowering prices for people, they talk about addressing the issues of why we are in a trade war with Canada, the war in Iran, real solutions.

0:42 So, it gives me great comfort that democracy is strong. I have been saying it for months and and I have traveled everywhere. I was in Nashville three weeks ago and I could feel that something was happening in Tennessee. There is a great desire now to get something done and I think the same will be true here. Senator Klobuchar is the absolutely perfect choice for this.

1:02 She has a profile and a temperament that I think can bring people back to this. I think there is going to be a desire by Republican legislators to chart their own path and not be so closely tied to the Trump administration and some of these policies that are truly reckless. And I think that bodes well. I think economically there has been great resilience. The Minnesota economy, we will see when the forecast comes out, is solid.

1:25 The state's finances are solid. You have experts here like Senator Hoffman with whom she will work. So I think that in general this was really positive. I think I am grateful when I hear everyone. There is no attitude of celebration.

1:37 There is more of a " look, this went too far. " These were reckless policies like Metro Surge, there needs to be accountability. I would say this, that I think we can do several things at once. It is not about seeking revenge against anyone, but about someone coming back and answering for the murder of René and Alex. It is about having accountability to ensure it doesn't happen again, but at the same time lowering gas prices, lowering interest rates, continuing to build a more sustainable future.

2:02 So I am very excited about it. I think it went well. I am proud of the people of Minnesota. Once again it seems we are on par with Maine in voter turnout, which again I think is a direct reflection of our civic engagement. We vote in high numbers.

2:17 We stood up for our neighbors during Metro Surge. We volunteer and give more to charity than any other state. I think Minnesota is in a good position. Any major priorities on your to-do list for the last 7 weeks? >> Well, I think it's to make it clear to Minnesotans and show them that the program integrity issues, these things are about to be fixed, and now we are going to have a fair shot at this, where some of these

2:38 people can go to Congress and answer: why are they telling lies? Because they aren't giving the money to Minnesota when we have met all the requirements that no other state could meet in 2 years. We did it in 4 months. We are going to be able to show the numbers of what has changed, what our algorithms are showing in terms of this. I’m under no illusion that people won’t keep trying to commit crimes, but the fact here is that people stole from Minnesotans.

3:03 We caught them, put them in jail, and we keep doing it. So my priority is to deliver the strongest and most secure integrity program in the country. You’re going to see, again, we have a triple-A bond rating, we have historic rainy-day funds, and our economy is strong and resilient. So I think more than anything it’s making sure that this new administration and the new legislature are in a position to clearly understand where we are, to continue moving forward on those things that we know made a difference. Feeding our children, paid family and medical leave, some of the resiliency, and then the refocusing on Minnesota’s strength, especially around medical technology.

3:41 We’ve really done a lot, uh, reaching out and getting foreign investment now, for example, with Japan, which is now our biggest foreign direct investment. Companies are coming to Minnesota and they see it as a great place to do business. Plans for January 5th. >> I’m going to get in my 2017 Buick and drive. I’m practicing my driving again, so I’m going to drive, and uh, I think the goal is, my hope is that it won't be long after that that I’ll be teaching again.

4:08 Um, I think that’s what I want to do. So thank you all, grateful. See you soon. >> There is too much noise. Every media outlet tells you their version.
